NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation (INV)
Accredited NEBOSH training delivered across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the GCC.
Course overview
The NEBOSH HSE Introduction to Incident Investigation (INV) is an internationally recognised HSE course. By learning lessons and making improvements, organisations can avoid similar incidents occurring in the future. It is for anyone who wants to carry out incident investigations effectively.
It covers the moral, legal and financial arguments for investigations, the human and organisational factors that can contribute to an incident, the process for investigating incidents, and positive interview strategies and the barriers to successful interviews.
On completion you will have the skills to carry out an unaided investigation of a non-complex incident. The qualification takes you through the four steps of a good investigation and the skills to identify the immediate, underlying and root causes of incidents. It introduces the PEACE model for witness interviewing, which you apply to three incident interviews in the final assessment. What you learn will also let you contribute to team investigations of larger-scale incidents.
