Well Servicing Workover
Well control training for personnel directly involved in workover and hydraulic intervention operations where the well may be live or capable of flowing.
Course overview
Well control training for personnel directly involved in workover and hydraulic intervention operations where the well may be live or capable of flowing. The course focuses on maintaining verified barriers, controlling pressure during workover activities, preparing and executing well kill operations, testing pressure-control equipment and managing the complications that can develop during rig-based intervention work.
3 days (minimum 12 instructional hours; assessment time additional).
Why this course matters
The course connects well control theory with the practical decisions made during a workover: confirming the well status before breaking containment, selecting and verifying barriers, recognizing influx or loss conditions, preparing for a kill and responding to equipment or well-control complications. The aim is to strengthen operational judgement before and during higher-risk workover steps.
