Well Servicing Coiled Tubing
Well control training for coiled tubing personnel who operate or supervise pressure-control equipment during live-well intervention.
Course overview
Well control training for coiled tubing personnel who operate or supervise pressure-control equipment during live-well intervention. The course combines well control fundamentals with the equipment, barriers and operating practices specific to coiled tubing, including pressure-control stack configuration, testing, well kill preparation and response to common operational complications.
3 days (minimum 12 instructional hours; assessment time additional).
Why this course matters
The course is designed to help coiled tubing personnel understand not only what the pressure-control equipment does, but how the complete barrier system behaves during rig-up, running, circulating, pulling and contingency operations. Participants work through the pressure and force considerations that influence safe operating decisions and learn how to respond when normal pressure-control conditions change.
